JR Fillion has now certified himself as a quickly rising star to all doubters. His newest video serves to cement that fact. From the down-town core of his home in London "Wrong Things" is a tale of perseverance. Featuring the artistic styles of the widely acclaimed Casper the Ghost (Treetop Ent), Bizzy (Streetscape Sounds), and captured by Tyson Fehr (Sonic Cinema). The three convey tales of struggle, both past and metaphorical, in an inspiring positive fashion. This single was released in preparation for Fillion's anticipated album Northern Lights. An album that will truly showcase what JR Fillion has become, as an independent artist. Hit the link to read the full article by Bill Beamin and watch "Wrong Things".
London emcee JR Fillion is gearing up to drop his forthcoming mixtape Ready To Work and has been handing out a couple teasers leading up to it. Not to long ago he put out a visual for the track "Positive" and yesterday came out with another one titled "They Watching". Produced by Apollo Brown, this track gives a feel good message about how the state of the world can be now a days and what music with a message and meaning can do for that. I highly advise taking this one in! JR Fillion will be opening for Joell Ortiz in Sarnia September 14th as well if you're in that area. Let me know what you think of "They Watching" directed by Sonic Sinema and be on the lookout for Ready To Work to drop real soon!
London emcee JR Fillion just released a video for the track "Positive" off his upcoming mixtape Ready to Work. Directed by Sonic Sinema, the visuals get up close and personal with JR Fillion as he vents on a few things to show why he stays positive. Just taking this in now, I can relate to a few things he speaks about one hundred percent. Jux Cain gives some great words of advice halfway through the video to him over the phone as well. You can catch JR Fillion opening up for RA the Rugged Man in London on July 18th if you're in the area. Take in "Positive" below.
After seeing all four of these guys give a great performance of this song when they opened up for Sean Price at The Come Up show's 6th Year Anniversary, I was anxious to hear the recorded version as I'm sure a lot of you were. Produced by the Unbeatables, London emcees Jux Cain, Jay Downz, JR Fillion and Del Reze join forces to create the new street anthem titled "Wasteland". As Jay Downz lays out the hook, Del Reze, Jux Cain and JR Fillion come in with some crazy verses! This is a track you have to turn up! Watch the video for "Wasteland" filmed by Sonic Sinema underneath and be on the lookout for Del Reze's new mixtape The Muzik Asylum which is set to be released sometime soon.
