[News x Video] NY Gubernatorial Candidate Jimmy “The Rent Is Too Damn High” McMillan Releasing Album
For recently defeated NY governor candidate Jimmy McMillan, there "ain't nothin' else to talk about" other than "the rent is too damn high." After his persistence and preacher-like antics stole the show at the 2010 official governor debate a couple days back, McMillan, NY's noisiest "karate" politician, put together this little music video. Pictured with a huge jam box, McMillan is surrounded by a seemingly dedicated handful of young white girls that hang off his shoulders smiling and nodding while he sorta loops his campaign slogan in spoken word. You may not have ever realized it, but this isn't just art for art's sake: "I like to listen to myself as I drive around campaigning," McMillan says. "It keeps me focused and gets me really pumped up."
Word on the street has it McMillan is now releasing an album titled The Rent Is Too DAMN High (Vol.1) on December 7th. It will be available in digital format through iTunes and Amazon.
Democratic Party member Andrew Cuomo is the new governor-elect of New York State. Unfortunately, Cuomo does not have a campaign soundtrack, a rap video, nor a French Fork. [McMillan-3 / Cuomo-0]
