Thundercat @ The Hoxton

Sunday night at the Hoxton was a special night for anyone in attendance. Thundercat, along with his band consisting of a keyboardist and a drummer, took the stage and completely took over the vibe of the small club. Thundercat recently visited Toronto on tour with Flying Lotus when they brought the You're Dead! tour to Danforth Music Hall. But this time was much different, a solo Thundercat performance proved to be much more intimate. Giving fans exactly what they wanted, Thundercat played various cuts from his debut project Apocalypse and his most recent release The Beyond / Where The Giants Roam. He also performed some of his contributions from Flying Lotus' You're Dead and Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp A Butterfly. After graciously thanking the crowd for supporting his craft, Thundercat descended from the stage leaving everyone wanting more.
