[EP] TiRon & Ayomari – “The Wonderful Prelude pt. 2”
While Kanye, J. Cole, Mac Miller, Statik Selektah, and seemingly ever other rapper on the planet dropped albums on Tuesday, another project worthy of your attention flew under the radar. California duo TiRon & Ayomari just released The Wonderful Prelude pt. 2, a free four-track EP that serves as a followup to - you guessed it - The Wonderful Prelude pt. 1. I'll admit, the EP isn't for everyone - if you're here for gritty lyricism over boom bap beats, this probably isn't what you're looking for - but this much can be said with certainty: the two artists make some excellent music, and The Wonderful Prelude pt. 2 is no different. The EP has a subdued feel, driven by light piano riffs and airy synths, as TiRon & Ayomari trade bars in a half-rapped, half-sung delivery. Of course, since their background is still hip-hop, there's some bangin' drums throughout the EP. As for early favourites, check out "For The Dreamers". Stream and download The Wonderful Prelude pt. 2 below.
[Video] TiRon & Ayomari – “Thing Go Right” (Dir: Jason Madison)
TiRon & Ayomari just dropped the visuals to "Thing Go Right", one of my favourite songs off their excellent album A Sucker For Pumps. The video concept for "Thing Go Right" is pretty unique, being shot entirely underwater. This comes as the third set of visuals off the album, after "Her Theme Song" and my personal favourite, "All My Love". Check out the visuals to "Thing Go Right" below.
[Video] DJ Nu-Mark ft. J-Live, M3 & Erica Dee – “Tonight” (Dir: Odin Wadleigh)
DJ Nu-Mark of the legendary Jurassic 5 just dropped the visuals for "Tonight", off the second instalment of his Broken Sunlight series. Broken Sunlight is being released as a 10" series over seven months, the first instalment of which dropped on April 24. In his second release, DJ Nu-Mark brings along J-Live, M3 & Erica Dee for "Tonight", and California artists TiRon & Ayomari for "Feel The Way About It". Both tracks can be downloaded here. Check out the visuals for "Tonight" below.
