The two young emcees have been steadily building a name for themselves writing and performing across southwestern Ontario since mid-2006. Sharing a similar vision, Bill Maka, 23, and Ray Black, 22, bring to their audience two distinct styles. This blend of Maka’s explosive and edgy delivery and Black’s laid-back smooth flow, along with their eclectic soundscapes, are what make Okay City unique and places them among the brightest of the new generation of Canadian music acts.
London's own OkayCity is coming back to Ontario after being out west in BC for the past year and of course they are running around the area doing a couple shows while they are back. Take my word for it.....their shows are great. People around the Forest City know what's good with homegrown hip hop and thats what these dudes bring. So come out and support your boys Ray Black & Mad Mak while they rock 4 shows including 2 in ONE NIGHT London on Thursday night, Friday night in Toronto with D-Sisive, & finishing off in Kitchener on Saturday. Be sure to check out (and buy) their mixtape of album proportions Tocsin B on iTunes! Also click the dates for the Facebook event pages!
