Stream an Excerpt from Tupac’s Iconic 1994 BET Interview with Ed Gordon
September 13th marked the 20th anniversary of rap legend Tupac Shakur‘s death. It’s hard to believe it’s already...
Looks like Meek Mill and Rick Ross were right about one thing, TUPAC BACK! In their performance last night at Coachella, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre brought out a holographic Tupac to perform "Hail Mary" and "2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted". Original news was that the duo would bring out a holographic Nate Dogg. Instead, they brought out Tupac, after sharing the stage with Wiz Khalifa, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent and Eminem. I know there's a lot of mixed feelings about this already, but the undeniable truth is that hip-hop history was made last night. Check out Tupac's surprise performance below.
Welcome to MUSIC 101. We’re happy to introduce this dynamic new EXCLUSIVE series on HipHopCanada, with your host, Alex “The Can-Con Don” Narvaez. Music 101 will offer periodical video interview exclusives with artists and influential members of the music scene. The Cancon DonAlex and George Stroumboulopoulos discuss Hip-Hop, selling out, commercialism, and much more. George also talks about his influences, when he first started listening to Hip-Hop and who he looked up to. One of the things he says in this interview is that "Tupac is a studio gangsta" which I don't really agree with. Check the video to see why he says that and more. I really do want your opinion on that statement though. Is Tupac a studio gangsta?

On the final late night summer edition of the Come Up Show, we had a discussion about the best smiles in rap on the chat boards. Chedo was kinda joking when he said he was going to start a contest about this (not everyone agreed with my --still standing-- vote for SHAD), so a post featuring some of the best grinnage in the game is the next best thing.
