[Event] Embrace Presents Wiley w/ Swindle & Skepta April 2nd @ The Hoxton (Toronto)
On April 2, 2014, Wiley aka the Godfather of Grime will be shutting down The Hoxton for his first headlining show in Toronto ever! He will be joined by UK rapper/producer Swindle for a night full of hip-hop and grime. The self-proclaimed King of Grime is set to drop his tenth studio album this year entitled Snakes and Ladders and with The Ascent just short of making it on our 2013 favourite albums staff list, this is without a doubt one show you'll regret missing if your not in attendance! Wize is a 19 year old rapper, producer and writer from the London, England. He has worked with UK artists such as Wiley, Ghetts and Cashtastic just to name a few. "Session 1" is a self-produced track with a jazzy vibe from his upcoming The Guide To Summer '13 EP releasing on July 1st. Wize shows off his lyrical abilities by rapping at different speeds and at some points the listener can barely keep up. Enjoy the track below!

Alternative music is really breaking the barriers that were set by generic artists. It's come to a point where if an artist has a consistent, distinct sound, they'll always have a loyal following as seen through the likes of The Weeknd, Johnny Rain and today, Vicktor Taiwò. Next to Frank Ocean I never thought I'd hear an artist that would sound as smooth and with substance, but I stand corrected. Vicktor Taiwò is an artist from The East End, Britiain (UK) and has been posting covers throughout the year. He's best known for his cover on "Kiss You" by One Direction, and trust me, it's way better than the original. I've been following him since then and I'm pleased to announce that he dropped an original with rapper, Solomon. You won't be disappointed.
