[Video] Minnesota Viking Dome Collapse
ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI - FOX2now.com) — The inflatable roof of the Minnesota Vikings' stadium collapsed Sunday after the city got more than 17 inches of snow. The Vikings- Giants game that had already been rescheduled for Monday night at the Dome now has been canceled and moved. According to the NFL, the teams will play on Monday night in Detroit with kickoff at 7:20 p.m. Eastern time.
Metrodome officials told the league the roof wouldn't be ready in time to play Monday or Tuesday. The league had discussions with Detroit and Indianapolis and ultimately decided to hold the game at Ford Field.
Via Twitter, St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay announced Sunday morning that the city has suggested the Edward Jones Dome as a possible alternative.
