Frank Ocean released a video via his
tumblr earlier that after watching left me feeling both happy and confused. Thankfully it didn't take long for
Def Jam to clear up the confusion. The released visual consists of some new music by Ocean, rumoured to be a song called "Pyramids". While the concept of the video still remains unclear, what is clear is that the highly anticipated new Frank Ocean album is coming... very soon.
Channel Orange is the name of Frank Oceans upcoming album that will be available everywhere July 17th, 2012. The Odd Future associate has flourished since his release of what I would regard as a masterpiece of a mixtape,
Nostalgia/Ultra. With a few big time assists on
Watch The Throne and newer gems like "Thinking About You" , you can be certain Frank has got something special cooked up with the upcoming release of Channel Orange. Check the album trailer below and stay tuned for more info. Update: If the album announcement wasn't enough, Frank has just announced a "Channel Orange" Tour. July 31st he will be making a stop in Toronto. We'll keep you updated for more info on that show. For now here are the 14 dates.
