After pushing back their second studio album to August 28th, Slaughterhouse has decided to release a mixtape prior to it's release. "Weight Scale" is the first offering off the upcoming 'tape titled Gangsta Grillz. The gang choose to take on the Salaam Remi produced "Nasty", and although I can't put this on par with Nas, Slaughterhouse definitely does it justice. This is what I like to hear from this group and hope to hear more like it on the mixtape and album. Listen to Budden, Royce, Crooked I and Joell fill the mic with quotables below. Look out for Gangsta Grillz coming soon and Welcome to: Our House drops August 28th.

After a hilarously outrageous cameo from Eminem, the Slaughterhouse gang take turns showing you how they live their lives in this new video for "My Life". The song will appear on one of my most highly anticipated albums of the summer, Slaughterhouse's Welcome to: OUR HOUSE , set to be released July 10th. When the audio was first released a few months back I wasn't feeling it all that much, but it has definitely grown on me. I still hope to hear more classic Slaughterhouse on the album and less Cee-Lo hooks. Anyways, check the visuals below and let us know your thoughts.
"My Life" is the second single from Slaughterhouse off their upcoming studio album Welcome To: OUR HOUSE which drops June 12. The track features Cee-Lo Green on the hook which plays off the classic "Rhythm of The Night". Slaughterhouse has made some of my favourite music for a long time, but much like their first single "Hammer Dance", "My Life" seems to be a reach at making a "hit" rather than making the good hard hitting rap joints we're used to from the Slaughterhouse crew. With that said the song still bumps, Cee-Lo does his thing and Crooked, Joey, Royce and Joell kill their verses like always. So even though hooks by Cee-Lo or about doing the hammer dance aren't my personal favourite, these four consistently prove that they can go bar for bar with anyone in the rap game. Take a listen to the Streetrunner and Sarom produced "My Life" below and remember, Welcome To: OUR HOUSE June 12.
