March Madness Vol. 2 is filled with imaginative, topical rhymes and punch lines which fans of XV have come to expect from him. The rhymes
“Fans getting annoyed/The world doesn’t know the boy/From the home of the Superman- not the Soulja Boy” from track 10, "Another Illusion" tell the story XV’s career- a hip hop Clark Kent waiting for the perfect moment to break out to industry success.
XV revisits some classic hip hop instrumentals for this project such as Eminem’s “The Way I Am,” Drake’s “Pound Cake” and 2pac’s “All About You.” I've been a fan of XV for a while now-it's nice to see the man in still working! Dubbed

With his "Awesome EP" dropping June 26th, XV decided to drop the visuals for Stone Cold. As you know, the track is over Kendrick Lamar & Dr. Dre's "The Recipe" which is one of the hottest beats this summer & to go with it is some dope directing from Connor Hays. XV's Popular Culture mixtape is finally here. First off, this dude always seems to have the coolest artwork for his projects and this Mina Kwon cover art for Popular Culture is no different. Take note music people, step your artwork game up! With that said, it's his music that makes this Kansas rapper a real force to be reckoned with. Like XV's past work, Popular Culture is filled with hard-hitting rhymes, dope hooks and dope production. The features are slim but Emilio Rojas and ScHoolboy Q both shine in their respective guest spots. Almost all the songs are produced by The Awesome Sound, from the intro to the closing track the mixtape flows and is bound together with different samples from popular culture, making this a great listen throughout.
