This was my first time seeing Zion I in concert and their performance totally blew me away. It could have been that I just recently discovered them and I didn't have too many expectations other than seeing good music. Their energy and stage presence had me jumping up and down the WHOLE show. Right before their performance I had the opportunity to interview Zion I, a duo from Oakland, California consisting producer DJ AmpLive and MC Zumbi. They talked about the importance of grassroots promotion with tools such as social media, touring, and how placements on video games (NBA Live 2010, NBA 2k12) have helped them.
