If you are a regular visitor to The Come Up Show, then you know we’ve supported our brother Kayo Guevarra from time G! This time around Kayo and Yogidaproducer present the lovely Kirsten Olivia. Her debut EP T.H.A.N. (The Here And Now), was released in July and we’re excited to world premiere her new video Stay Away from the project. This video was directed by The Russian for Independent Muscle Productions, who have been steadily supplying our independent Canadian talent with the highest quality videos and features rapper Kayo and production from Yogidaproducer.

Having grown up in the small community of East Preston, Nova Scotia, Kirsten was raised with a deep love and appreciation for music and the arts, and is now accredited as a gifted singer, songwriter and actress by her peers and critics alike.
The future is looking bright for Kirsten Olivia. She has won several talent competitions, participated in Halifax Jazz Fest’s Galaxie Rising Star Competition and received the African Nova Scotian Music Award for Best Emerging Artist in 2013.
She has shared the stage with the likes of Canadian R&B sensation Divine Brown, Canadian Hip Hop Heavyweight Classified, and most recently the legendary Betty Lavette during the 2014 Halifax Jazz Festival, where she also made a special guest appearance during collaborator Kayo’s set when he opened for Yasiin Bey (Mos Def), performing their song “Stay Away” to a sold out crowd.
