In the current state of Hip Hop, Toronto has never been so prominent. With buzz continuing to grow, the city known now as the “6”, is shaping and developing all sorts of talent including rapper, singer, songwriter Mez Mariye. Influenced and inspired by the evolving music scene, the young artist has put out an array of singles since the release of his debut project Destined To Be.
The most recent single “Oh No” is his best work to date and the track undoubtedly reveals his increasing potential and progression. For example, the arrangement, song dynamics, vocal delivery, production, and themes are all notable highlights that demonstrate his growth of becoming a quality songwriter. Also, Mez is really coming into his own on “Oh No” and its clear he’s close to really defining his sound.
