Are you ready for part two of Elliott Wilson's interview with Jay Z? After the part one yesterday I was waiting all day to come home and check the rest of the interview out and the wait was well worth it. Touching on other topics like sports, competition in the hip-hop game, the Trayvon Martin ruling, parenting and more. As I said before this is probably the most down to earth, attention grabbing interview of all the others he has done since Magna Carta Holy Grail's release. So really pay attention closely because both of these men are very smart and have gained so much knowledge throughout their careers it is astounding. Although any interview with Jay Z should be taken in with your full attention, look at what he has created in the time he has been given so far and we can only expect more. Let me know your thoughts on the whole interview below.
Just hours before the Jay Z and Justin Timberlake concert in Yankee Stadium, Elliott Wilson sits down with the man himself Jay Z for an extensive one hour long interview touching on almost every topic imaginable from his new album Magna Carta Holy Grail, new rules in the hip-hop game, the future of hip-hop music to his thoughts on collaborations and even what he means to New York City. Although this is only part one of the interview so there is much more to be heard when the other half comes out tomorrow. Out of all the sit downs Jay Z has had since Magna Carta Holy Grail's release like Hot 97 with Angie Martinez, The Breakfast Club and Zane Lowe for BBC Radio 1, this is definitely the most intriguing. Especially if your as big of a Jay Z fan as me. Watch the whole thirty minute interview below and stay tuned for part two to come out tomorrow!
With a number of great albums that hit the stores on June 18th and shortly after like Magna Carta Holy Grail, Born Sinner, Yeezus and The Gifted, the hype surrounding them would almost seem like it's geared towards a select few albums, though that totally isn't the case. Among those releases was Mac Miller's Watching Movies With The Sound Off and after pondering the question "Is Mac Miller Being Slept On?", Elliot Wilson decides to sit down with one of Mac's best friends and co-manager's Q to talk about just that. Discussing everything from Mac finding his own sound, to other album's that came out around the same time as well as Watching Movies With The Sound Off and more. It certainly makes you think and wonder the exact same question. You quickly realize he dropped an album at the same time as some very prominent artists, so I don't Mac is being slept on at all. Check out the video below to see just why that is.
OVO season seems to be in full swing and in Elliott Wilson's latest episode of The Truth, he speaks on Drizzy Drake's two most recent singles, "No New Friends" and "Girls Love Beyonce." Do you agree or disagree with his opinion? Let us know in the comments section. via RapRadar
